Sim Review 3:Cadair Breaden.
This one just seems to be a favorite, it is a sim that calls me home each time. In the last review it was harsh,but needed. I love that sim soo much and it was killing me to give out such a review, even got nasty IM from people saying I was horrible, cause they were trying to cause drama.Well I don't care, I write what I know needs to be heard and what my opinions are. I am free to do so, if you don't like it then don't read my blogs sooo simple.
So the sim has done some changes, I seen some apologies made and the sim owner actually read my blog. She was ok with it, she knew it was my opinion and even took in some of what I said, she agreed some mistake were made, but hey behind the monitor we are only human. There was a long talk and sit down, I been inform that there is a new system set for putting in complaints to make it better and more efficient for the rpers. See their looking out for you, also they will not stand for bullying at all.
Now then they try to keep from banning players, and props to them as that is very hard to do. I mean I probably have baned half the people I seen around SL, they believe in giving people chances and see the good. The rp has defiantly picked up in spice,its getting good guys. Now last time there was a race issue, this has been fixed. It was a issue with the vampires, the solution was to get rid of the vampira group and give two individual groups.Which was what was trying to be done the first time, but some hated it as it be a loss of power. The admins have infact place a second group, however they have made it very clear neither group is better then the other, both are equal, even if some do not or refuse to believe this. I fully support this, I have no issue with it at all and its a good thing to enforce.Now IC conflict is welcome,but it is prohibited to bash oocly the opposite group.
Why don't I tell you about the new group first, the Coven of Noctis is like well in VtM terms your Sabbat/ Toredor, bunch of as some would deem rogues and warriors. If your a vampire and feel like a loner, outsider, or just dark.Then this be your family, where you can feed freely and never hide what you are, embrace it to the fully. You be taught the ways of Kain, taught his laws and rules. Though you are more then welcome to be free in your belief as it is a open lore sim, just Noctis is more to following Kain, they do not enforce anyone else to do so.This is a group solely made to be free in what vampire you are.Yes I speak highly of this group, not for the fact I am in it, but for the fact that it is true. They live in the catacombs under the ruins of a old chapel, now they are in no way savage, and are very elegant, though the race of vampires is always elegant even if in a savage state.Noctis also has no waiting or select only a few to join, its open to anyone.
Second group is the Rosethorn group, the Caramilla of the Vampires if you use VtM terms, though with a twist. Their leader is a Hybrid and no its not tradition in the vampire world or lore and is in most lore highly frown upon, I like the idea. Its different and one not use often if not at all, now yes I know most wouldn't follow,but I mean the idea is awesome. I applaud it well,as hybrid is one of THE HARDEST race to rp. Now along with that, they live in the castle, much nicer yes then the catacombs, but for those vampires of in the eyes of sabbat fragile nature or " weak" would come, now I saw those words losely cause what looks fragile and weak to one can actually be strong and if you get a bunch they will unite and stay strong, don't let them beat you down. They hide not that they are vampires, but their nature. They tend to be more human and try to appeal to others and please them much like caramilla. If you are a fan of the caramilla then you will love this group, they act mroe royal, though they are still the same as Noctis, just not as dark. A balance if you will, like yin and yang, each group completes the other.From what I have read, Rosethorn is only allowing so many in their group, thats what I have read.
The sim is ever changing and the town at the docks is a city, they brought back Nova, man I remember that from like four years of being there and was happy to see it raise once again. Granite I do think the city and docks are over attacked, it still the hot spot of rp. They have a king now, thankfully eh isn't to mad from what I have seen. Though a little crazy isn't bad and as a vampire rper to me crazy runs through all Humans. The city itself isn't my fave as it seems abit cold and stone, though ever changing sim and I can see this as a stepping stone to much larger out look for the city, I am sure time from now it will blossom and change again.It's still nice, like I said hot spot.
Now there is one thing that did bother me, one being this is a drama free sim and a few seem to forget that, now yes we are all human, but we are adults to. A pet peeve of mine is watching someone do something they know is wrong and even admit it,but still do it.Its rare,but happens and luckily the admins are on it. But I do not like it when the Owner makes somehting clear and someone goes behind them and state just what the admin said not to.To me this is disrespect of the admins and really crawls my skin. If the admins say like gunpowder is not a skill that would be mastered yet as it is in the early stages, then you can not logically be master of it. Respect the owner and Admins, sheesh.. I also have to say if you pick human as a race to play, DO NOT BITCH ABOUT PLAYING A WEAK RACE! You chose this race, no one forced you or twisted your arm, so deal with the fact that yes human can be boring and weak. There is tons of things though that humans can do and honestly to me and this is my both rp and rl opinion, humans are the worst monsters out there. I mean truly and they never come off weak to me. You can be great at any skill, assassin, hunter, knight, or even mage. Thats not for Cadair, its for all sims, all rp sims out there. You play human, it means you accept it may not be the strongest out there and most fear, but it is a much needed race. Humans are always a welcome site to a sim, I mean I love to see Hunters, Vampire, Garou, elves, and so on type hunters, who hunt those races downs. Perfect little job for you humans.
Any ways I ranted too much this time, this review was needed and proudly made. For any who read, no its not attacking anyone or meant to, its an OPINION.....don't like it, don't read it. Now this sim is always worth a shot to look at, and as always need people, I mean that as in you who are looking come check out Cadair.
