Review: Tarinfell
Ok never went as far as to get on sim, though I have heard it is a beautifully made sim. There isn't much lag, although if your in the welcome center that is lag city I swear. So I am a little disbelief that on sim isn't. Though it is nice welcome center.
Now I read every where for their lores and such and nothing was mention, so I figured it was open lore. Which is a great directions now a days to go with, but if your gonna have lore, don't you think you should say what it is.
first off Vampire are undead, not humans.Thats a turn off to me and most Vampire rpers, next I did custom app. How to put it, it was disappointing, there was no questions of details and there was only strength ask no weakness and only what they had prepick could be pick in the section of strengths. Then I went to make a demon common with standard app and its the EXACT same set up with only one extra question which preselected classes. I mean seriously, laziness, pure laziness.
I got IM on my demon about the app, told it was denied for the fact....what for it......what for it.....it doesn't follow D&D 3.5 and BOOOM. Yeah the sim is D&D,which is meant for table top not sl. I mean why would I waste my time on sl playing a D&D when I can play it irl with my friends. I get on sl for freeform rp and the possibility of open lore. Not for playing fucking D&D, I mean its just pure laziness. Atleast in my books anyways, sure its booming now, but soon you'll realize you can't turn a dice system game ot freeform, the whole D&D game is based off that system, without it, it will crash.
I am telling you know, thats a sim thats gonna end up in drama hell one day and I rather stand clear from it.If your willing to take the risk then go ahead, give it a try, I personally say don't even. If you want D&D go play it in irl not on sl.

Hi there, I am one of the Owners of Tarinfell, I wanted to thank you for this insightful review about my SIM. The one thing we aim for in Tarinfell is to please our players as much as we can, so we will most certainly take the things you have posted in here into Consideration. Tarinfell is an immersive D&D SIM, there are lots of possibilities and so many options within the realm of D&D that its about as freeform as it gets as well as keeping a structure and guidelines for everyone. (FYI vampires are listed under undead as well ;D))

ReplyDeleteWhy would humans be listed as undead?
