Sim Review: Cirra'Liel
Ok so its time to review this sim, now first off I wills tart with saying it's a wonderfully built sim. I mean you can tell time and effort was put to it, Especially over in the fae area. Its great for photo shoots as well. The human city is wonderful, they have a thieves den, a battle arena, there underdark is huge. They have an elven city, demon city, the fae glades, a lycan den, and gypsy, and a huge mer area. Now I know in the past I have heard mer rpers complain they never find a place that was mer friendly, well Cirra is, and they have rentals.
The people are friendly and willing to help, it is an Character Sheet app sim. Its dice or free form based with combat. They have a great story board group, which is a rare find these days. I seen some of their big sim rps go on and it does capture you in the moment. Sad part is most of the time when I log its empty and its still a new sim. Needing lots of rpers for it to grow more, now I do know when people are on they do tend to stay in their homes or race group hide outs rather in rp, if there is no big event going on and that should change. But don't let that stop you from checking it out, it is worth it. If you see people, they are more then willing to rp. Surprisingly enough it is drama free, even if it is new, they are a rare sim that does keep its drama to either very little or nothing at all.All the drama you find is IC in the rp scene as it should be.
Now I have seen some races fading abit and thats a shame. I rather see them grow, I know humans and orcs are hard to find willing players for, but those are some of my fave races to rp with.It is a kid friendly sim, meaning if you are 18 and older and like to play a child you can. Oh yes this is an 18 and older sim only.
Now they use their main group chat as both IC and OOC (mostly ooc) which I do have a small issue, mostly cause I have seen sims get confusion on whether someone was IC or OOC and which is why I am all for OOC chat groups, they also have an adult chat group for people who get well to perverted (face it we all do, we're adults.)
Another small issue I had was with the Character app, it seems some admins look at them differently. I know some look and will pass you while others will try and squeeze like extreme details out of you. Thats a issue, all admins should be on the same page, its not fair if two people of the same race place an app that are simuliar but different in backstory and such. One passes and the other is left to be complex witht he app, if you want complex then make the application complex. Which its not a compelx app, thats what confuses me, why turn it complex. I get you want everything to make sense and such, but again want complex, make the app complex. Though I am against it, with apps you have to becareful if its to complex most rpers will just go else where. Now they are good with trying to make sure you are balance, but some idk the whole app seem well off.Also if you want race traits written down even though everyone should know the race traits period, especially admins, then have it on the application. I know I am ragging on the character app, but its a pet peeve. Seen alot of sims screw themselves with it and most go oh I know what I am doing and then few months later shut down, cause their app process ran rpers off.
Now as a said earlier the sim can be empty at times, do not let it ward you off. Come when people around and when you have your app accepted, go into the group and call people for rp when its empty, the sim is only alive with the rpers. It needs you to keep it going, so if you need to start up some, like I said these people do like to rp.Its a new and growing sim, it will get to that point where it will have rpers on it all the time.Plus everyone has a RL they have to get to, so don't for get that. Now it is not a furry friendly sim and well most aren't sorry. They do try to go for realistic and that part scares me some, last sim I saw go realistic with its medieval sim died. Though they do keep their fantasy part better then the other sim, so I don't see that being a big problem and some realism can be helpful.It is medieval after all.
So check it out, its worth it and totally accepting new rpers. Like I said its a great sim, with lots of potential to grow.
